Position Summary
The Product Coordinator has the principal responsibility for developing knowledge of the product line(s) and related items, communicating that knowledge to the team and ordering inventory in that product line in keeping with La Bodega’s mission to inspire individual taste.
Primary Responsibilities
- Establishing and growing a deep knowledge of their product line and related products, seeking certification where available to
demonstrate product knowledge to the community.
- Maintaining inventory levels as needed to support sales goals while ensuring healthy rotation of stock and eliminating waste.
- Serving as a resource to satellite store leads for inventory management and ordering.
- Remaining current on product trends and communicating those trends to the team.
- Generating and receiving orders within the product line.
- Maintaining the organization of the back room inventory as well as maintaining the displays on the sales floor, according to store
policies and guidelines.
- Generating content as needed for the e-newsletter and social media.
- Covering in other areas of accountability and/or departments as a matter of exception, not routine.
Qualifications & Skills
- Passionate about the product line and interest in supporting our development of a high caliber program.
- Ability to continually develop tasting and evaluation skills.
- Ability to demonstrate organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to build strong working relationships.
- Have a positive approach to work; able to both effectively receive and communicate feedback.
- Ability to move and/or lift 50 lbs consistently.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Computer and cash handling proficiency.
- Valid Drivers Licence; this position requires an on premise presence and the ability to travel between our three locations.
- Current Alaska TAPS Card, or ability to obtain one prior to the start of employment.
The current schedule for this position is Monday through Friday with flexibility to provide coverage on the weekend as needed.
Pay starts at $21 and is eligible for $1 after a 60 day review.
